Client’s Space Dilemma:

  • · Update all Kitchen equipment and finishes.
  • · New Kitchen design to be more “open” to Existing Dining Room.
  • · Breakfast Room not needed.
  • · Update Bar.

Designer’s Solution:      

  • · All Kitchen equipment and finishes updated.
  • · Relocate Refrigerator to remove portion of existing wall between Kitchen and Existing Dining Room.
  • · Convert former Breakfast Room to area for new hutch and new built-in desk.
  • · All Bar equipment and finishes updated. Relocated window for direct view from Kitchen through Bar to water view beyond.

Architectural Highlights:

  • · Removed existing soffits at Kitchen ceiling to create more volume.
  • · Portion of Kitchen cabinets and Bar cabinets have contained lighting.
  • · New wood pilasters and crown molding match existing.
  • · Decorative exhaust hood in Kitchen.
