Client’s Space Dilemma:

  • · Existing Kitchen has minimal wheel chair access.
  • · Existing Kitchen island needs to accommodate additional seating.
  • · No existing Wet Bar.
  • · Very “cramped” space between bathtub and sinks in Master Bathroom.
  • · Existing fireplace not used. Existing Entertainment Center very unorganized.

Designer’s Solution:      

  • · Existing Kitchen island replaced with new peninsula for additional seating.
  • · New curved peninsula, and relocation of kitchen equipment provides 60” diameter wheelchair turning radius.
  • · Relocation of refrigerator allows access without cluttering “Cooking Area”.
  • · New Wet Bar provided.
  • · New compact tub provided in Maser Bathroom.
  • · New design for vanities and shower provided in Master Bathroom.
  • · Curve design in Entertainment Center reflects design of Kitchen peninsula.

Architectural Highlights:

  • · All Kitchen equipment and finishes updated.
  • · Unique curved Kitchen peninsula.
  • · Built-in bench at Dining Nook.
  • · Specialty items in Master Bath such as  hand shower, body spray, grab bars, towel warmer.
  • · New Entertainment Center has “pipe organ” form.
